Day #320 - The Summer of the Monkeys
I have been reading The Summer of the Monkeys with my two girls every day for the past two weeks. We were determined to finish it today, so we read for three hours!! This was great fun for all of us. The girls loved being read to and loved the story. We laughed through so much of it. In fact both tried to sneak and read ahead to find out what would happen. It was great to bond with them through this book. The best part? It was worth 13 AR points! Anna's finally going to catch up to reach her reading goals.

Oooh! I'm excited for the reading suggestion! We rented a bunch of the movies you talked about on one of your blogs and have been watching them for the last few family movie nights - Annie, The Music Man (the remake is terrific!), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and a few others. Always appreciate a good suggestion!
