Day #19 The Magic of Christmas

Christmas is a pretty stressful time of year for me. On top of all of the business that naturally comes, we have two children's birthdays during the month of December. If I don't prepare months in advance, I'm guaranteed to have a little break-down. That being said, there are certain things about this season that I love and enjoy and wouldn't miss for the world! Here are two things that have brightened my holiday season (moments of magic that I feel gratitude for).

This year we bought a train to go around our christmas tree. Joseph is crazy for trains and we knew that if we were ever going to do it, this year was the year. The day the train went up, Joseph literally spent the entire day next to the track, controlling the train's every move. What a sweet memory!
For the first time, we have an elf visiting our home for Christmas. He showed up December 1st and every morning he can be found in a different location up high in the house. He is watching our children to see if they are being naughty or nice and reporting regularly back to Santa. Eryn has been especially enamored by his visit. She has even brought multiple friends home from school, lining up at our door to see the "real elf" who is visiting us this year.

Thank goodness that among all of the stress and busy schedules we can enjoy the fun and excitment of Christmas with our children!
