One of my favorite things about the summer here is playing in the river with the kids. It reminds me of sitting in the surf at the beach. The sun is hot, the water is cool and there is a lot to explore. I usually put a swim diaper on Lily and just plop her down in a shallow area. The other kids walk up and down, find pretty rocks and interesting sticks and play pretend. We had to put off river play this summer because the rivers were so high in the spring. So it has been nice to be able to get in the water and cool off!
